Facts of the Case


Client was charged with intentionally causing injury to his employer, during a dispute over work practices.

Results Achieved


The matter proceeded as a contested hearing with the client asserting that he acted in self-defence.  Following cross-examination of the employer, and witnesses to the alleged assault (in which the client received injuries himself), the Magistrate agreed that the client had acted in self-defence.  The charges against the client were struck out and costs ordered against the Victoria Police.
