Magistrates Court
Acting Solicitor: Bill Doogue

Facts of the Case

The client was alleged to have taken a person to their farm and then shoot them in the head.

The Police were relying on the evidence of the alleged victim and forensic evidence of bullet cartridges.

Our defence included having private investigators go to the property and provide photos and reports in relation to a number of forensic issues. We obtained statements from other witnesses, not spoken to by the prosecution, who stated that the alleged victim was lying as to who had shot him.

Results Achieved

The charges were all withdrawn at committal and costs were paid by the prosecution.
