Facts of the Case


The client was charged with aggravated burglary (with an offensive weapon), burglary and theft, as well as causing serious injury.  It related to a 'run through' on a residential premises.  The only witness claimed that he recognised the client by his distinctive voice.

Results Achieved


The case ran as a trial, with the client pleading not guilty to all charges. The witness was cross-examined at length about his recognition of the client, and provided varying accounts. At the conclusion of the evidence the jury was sent out to deliberate. They returned a verdict of not guilty on all counts.
